As a dynamic and experienced sales executive, you will join Copyleaks, a rapidly growing EdTech company, as the Director of Educational Sales. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and driving revenue through strategic partnerships and direct sales, specifically focusing on mid to large universities and K-12 large school districts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage key decision makers within mid to large size universities, Higher Ed institutions, and K-12 school districts.
  • Manage the process of Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP) in the educational vertical.
  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales goals by cultivating a robust pipeline of prospects and closing new deals.
  • Effectively communicate Copyleaks’ business value through compelling executive-level presentations, encompassing technical details on API and LTI integrations.
  • Leverage your experience in negotiating favorable pricing and business terms, especially with large commercial enterprises in the education sector.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts on an ongoing basis.
  • Contribute to shaping the company’s strategy for entering new markets and participate in go-to-market plans for new products or feature enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6-8 years of SaaS enterprise-level sales experience, with a proven track record of prospecting and selling to educational institutions, including Higher Ed and K-12 schools.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the decision-making processes within large educational institutions, emphasizing Higher Ed and K-12.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with key Learning Management Systems (LMS) is essential for success in this role.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Creativity and strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with senior-level prospects.
  • Communication Skills: Executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both oral and written.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to understand and articulate complex technical aspects of potential technology integrations, quickly mastering new technologies.
  • Tools: CRM expertise (HubSpot preferred), social selling prowess (including LinkedIn Navigator), Google Workspace proficiency.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

This is a hybrid position located in New York (Manhattan). We meet in the office twice a week.
