The ideal candidate will be technically inclined with at least some experience working in the field on hydrographic surveys. Experience in towing and collecting data using hydrographic sensors (i.e. sidescan sonar systems) is preferred.<br>\n\n
\nPreferred candidates will possess the following:\n\n
- \n
- Due to our work with the U.S. Government, this role legally requires that you are a U.S. citizen. \n
- Have a minimum 1-3 years’ experience in hydrographic surveying. \n
- Be knowledgeable in interfacing and operating hydrographic survey equipment, i.e. sidescan sonars, inertial navigation, and multibeam systems. \n
- Experience working on larger live-aboard survey vessels. \n
- Have knowledge in collecting, analyzing and processing hydrographic survey data. Experience with Hypack, Caris and/or equivalent collection/processing software desired. \n
- GIS experience/understanding a plus. \n
- Experience with geophysical surveys a plus. \n
- Be willing to support at-sea system testing and data collection. \n
- Be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. \n
- Subject to rigorous background investigation. \n
