Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Responsibilities

•Provide materials and processing support for production, 
•Development and R&D hardware for mechanical and electronic gas turbine engine controls, fuel systems and fueldraulic actuators.  
•Select appropriate materials, processes and NDT for mechanical components which may involve metallics, non- metallics, adhesives and protective coatings.
•Perform failure analysis to establish root cause and corrective action.  
•Assist in supplier audits and REACh compliance reporting to customers.  
•Evaluate new manufacturing methods (additive manufacturing) and alloys.   
•Conduct aluminum casting process development and troubleshooting of production yield problems.  

Qualifications

•Two years minimum in an aerospace engineering environment is preferred.  
•Knowledge of high reliability electronics manufacturing (soldering and associated processes) a plus.
•BS, Materials or Metallurgical Engineering.
•US Citizenship Required
