Job Summary

The Cost Estimator at Triumph Geared Solutions Macomb prepares an operational process structure cost estimate to the sales department.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Working from customer prints and specifications to evaluate products for relevancy with our capabilities
• Prepares an operational process structure cost estimate to the sales department.
• Provides an estimate of the required tools and fixtures to manufacture the part. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or a minimum of five years’ experience
• In depth knowledge of aircraft gear and housing manufacturing processes or similar precision part manufacturing
• Working knowledge of special processes such as NDT, heat treating, plating, coatings, painting, and shot peening
• Ability to enter information into an ERP system
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to use AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Aerospace marketplace knowledge is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
• Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
• Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
