Based in Windsor, Ct., Triumph employs approximately 120 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems.
Reporting to the MRO Manager, we are looking for a MRO/CRM Process Development Engineer who will work with internal departments to develop maintenance processes, ensure timely/compliant product flow, and coordinate improvement efforts as part of the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) high-performance team.
Responsibilities
The role will include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Assist with the development, implementation, and auditing of MRO inspection and test plans, acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions/maintenance manuals.
- Initiate CRM documentation package for release o product to evaluations and repair.
- Aid in process flow design, establishment, and improvement.
- Review incoming material, track unit progress, and aid in work package review prior to return to service.
- Work with Contract Administration, Planning, Program Management, and Inspection personnel to ensure material meets customer turn times.
- Review customer technical/quality requirements for incorporation into unit processing.
- Review data packages and assist with submissions of customer quality notifications.
- Perform detailed reviews of purchase orders, contracts, and customer quotes.
- Create work instructions, inspection method sheets, maintenance forms, quality plans, tech sheets.
- Develop process flow line, aid in tool design, track unit status, assist with unit and replacement components forecasting.
- Perform internal MRO product/process audits and prepare summary reports.
- Work with customers during on-site MRO audits and visits.
Qualifications
- BS in a technical field or 5+ years in STEM/quality roles.
- Aerospace and applicable regulatory authority knowledge/experience desired.
- Experience with FAA Repair Station preferred.
- Knowledge of MRO, operations, and material processing.
- Hands-on product experience a plus.
- Knowledge of GD&T and proficient in blueprint/tech manual reading.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of standards, implementation, and certification process of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100, ISO-9001, or AS9110.
- Ability to interface effectively with internal departments, levels of the Triumph organization, and external customers.
- MS Office suite experience required, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
