Responsibilities

  • Reconciles various general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares/post monthly/quarterly journal entries and assist with closing procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains all bank and various general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Analyzes all required account balances for reasonability and accuracy. Able to determine the proper corrective action if a discrepancy is discovered.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret financial statements/reports.
  • Work and communicate with multiple departments and Upper-Management personnel to resolve troubleshooting tasks.
  • Handle all Fixed Asset reporting and deprecation calculations.
  • Adheres to all accounting, audit policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to corporate reporting deadlines.
  • Monitor and coordinate accounts receivable oversite for the purpose of fulfilling monthly cash targets.
  • Assist controller with review of aged and at-risk accounts receivables.
  • Responsible for analyzing credit requests and producing a recommendation.
  • Updates and prepares monthly commission files for payment issuance. 
  • Assist in other areas within the department including accounts payable.
  • Adheres and handles all SOX compliance requirements for Finance.
  • Perform ad hoc request as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/ related field preferred or combination of post-secondary education and related experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles/GAAP
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Month-end close dates Pre/Post are mandatory workdays
