The Role.

We're hiring a Social and Community Manager to help us grow our community and grow our brand presence across social media platforms. As an early team member, you'll play a significant role in shaping our social media strategy and engaging with our target audience.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about social media, up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, and has a track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns. The ideal candidate will have strong copywriting and content creation skills, be data-driven, and able to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders.
As our Social and Community Manager, you'll be responsible for creating compelling stories, building relationships with our community, and amplifying our brand message across various social media platforms. You'll work closely with our marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency and develop a content calendar that aligns with our business goals.

Your day to day:
Develop and execute social media strategies to increase Bags' organic reach and engagement on social media platforms.
Create and curate content that resonates with Bags' target audience and aligns with the brand's voice and values.
Manage and grow Bags' social media presence across various platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to inform data-driven decision-making and optimize future social media campaigns.
Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency across all social media channels.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in social media and identify opportunities to leverage them for Bags' growth.
Engage with Bags' followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community around the brand.
Work closely with the co-founders to understand their vision for the brand and incorporate it into social media strategies and campaigns.
Develop and maintain relationships with influencers, partners, and other stakeholders to amplify Bags' reach and exposure.
Manage social media advertising campaigns and allocate budgets effectively to maximize ROI.
Train and empower other team members to contribute to social media content creation and engagement.
Create a social media calendar that aligns with Bags' marketing and business goals and ensures consistent content delivery.


You should apply if you’re
Comfortable getting hands-on in a very early-stage startup environment. We’re a small team so you’ll be involved in tons of zero-to-one projects.
Have proven experience in developing and executing successful social media strategies, preferably in a startup or small business setting.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices, with a focus on organic growth.
Excellent copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to create engaging and shareable social media content.
Proficiency in social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Metabase to track and measure the success of campaigns.
Experience in managing social media advertising campaigns and budget allocation to maximize ROI.
Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders, including marketing, design, and product teams.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple and concise manner.
Creativity and a willingness to think outside the box to come up with innovative social media campaigns.
A passion for social media and staying up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the industry.
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications (or equivalent expertise/experience), or a related field.
