BEKHealth Corporation is a leading clinical technology company that operates an AI-powered chart abstraction and patient-matching software platform serving the clinical trial industry. The BEKplatform is purpose-built for organizations conducting clinical trials and observational studies to better understand their patient populations, optimize feasibility, speed up site selection, and rapidly identify clinically qualified participants by extracting data from electronic medical records (EMRs), which includes structured and unstructured clinical data that captures three times more trial criteria. We specialize in providing software for patient population analysis, site feasibility and selection, study participant identification and matching.

About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President, Business Development to lead our commercial team and drive sales growth. In this role, you will lead a team of sales account executives in executing sales strategies that targets research networks and you will drive sales through strategic partnerships. This position is a member of the management team and reports to the company CEO.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that targets life science firms such as research site networks, healthcare organizations, contract research, biopharma, and RWD with a focus on optimizing enrollment in clinical trials.
  • Lead a team of 3-4 sales professionals in delivering sales results within research site networks.
  • Take the lead in driving sales through existing and new channels and strategic partnerships with biotechs, pharma, contract research organizations, and other industry players.
  • Build and lead a metrics-driven, high-activity team.
  • Define and drive sales best practices while coaching and mentoring team members through a defined and managed sales process.
  • Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts, quarterly business reviews, mutual action close plans that closely follow the MEDDPICC methodology.
  • Develop, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to ensure ongoing success.
  • Develop, launch, and manage to a set of performance metrics that are visible, actionable, and effective in driving sales.
  • Forecast accurately, taking pride in predicted outcomes.
  • Manage team budget and allocate resources to maximize ROI.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop/refine a unique selling proposition, positioning, and sales enablement.
  • Partner with implementation, customer success, product development and other functional teams internally to manage flawless delivery and scale the business through high customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with our product team to provide feedback and input on product development and enhancements based on customer needs and market trends.

The ideal candidate

  • 10+ years of experience in a sales role (3+ years in sales management) with a track record of success in selling software and tech-enabled services to support clinical development and operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong methodology and playbook for building a sales pipeline and closing new business and customer expansion.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of clinical research and development, especially patient recruitment.
  • Organized and rational thinker, who communicates with data, loves metrics and is passionate about rigorous use of Hubspot and other sales-enabling technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Travel required.
