We are looking for a Software Engineer ll (2-5 years of experience with applicable technologies) to help design, develop, test, debug, and deploy highly-available applications. The ideal candidate will be a Java developer comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies. They should be capable of addressing mission-critical application diagnostics and troubleshooting.

The Software Engineer II plays a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of critical business applications. They contribute to a collaborative team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, mission-critical software. This role is vital for maintaining the efficiency, reliability, and innovation of our technological solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide contributions to a team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of critical business applications.
  • Work with Agile software lifecycle methodologies.
  • Create technical design documents.
  • Perform research, analysis, coding, debugging, and testing.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative development environment.
  • Conduct QA testing of all code.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Demonstrate solid time management skills.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a consistent focus on producing quality deliverables in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with following technologies: Java, Spring, Hibernate, jHipster, Angular, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
  • Experience with Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Cloud Technologies.
  • Experience with API, Swagger, and Microservices Development.
  • Experience with IoT and MQTT is a plus.
  • Proficiency with SQL and one or more relational databases, such as MySQL, and/or with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
  • Experience with version control software, such as GIT.
  • Full exposure to and understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle, using Jira and Confluence.
  • Object-oriented design and programming skills, including working knowledge and experience using design patterns.
  • Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Salary Range: $90K-130K / based on factors including level of experience, skillset, and qualifications.

On-site/Shelton, CT-work remotely for two days and in the office for three days. May consider remote for the right individual.
