Production Manager Position Description:
Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Oversee production staff, coordinate with engineering teams, and optimize manufacturing processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to standard work procedures. Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and production planning to meet delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise production team members, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineers to implement and optimize production processes
- Ensure production quality through oversight of quality control systems and metrics
- Maintain production schedules and manage workflow across manufacturing cells
- Drive operational excellence through LEAN manufacturing principles
- Manage inventory levels and supply chain coordination for production needs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and equipment upkeep
- Facilitate cross-functional communication between production, engineering, and quality teams
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of manufacturing management experience
- Experience manufacturing electromechanical products including mechanical assembly, wiring harness fabrication, PCB mounting, system and unit testing.
- Strong background in LEAN manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Proven track record of leading and developing production
