Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Operations Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial operations of ThayerMahan Offshore. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, expertise in operational accounting, and a commitment to driving financial excellence in a high-growth international company. Reporting directly to the Director of Program Finance with a dotted line to the CFO, the successful candidate will ensure that the organization’s accounting processes support its operational and strategic goals effectively.

· Establish project-level accounting and finance processes that provide timely and accurate financial information to operations personnel.

· Provide day-to-day accounting support including customer invoicing and accounts receivable management.

· Provide support to project managers and operations on project cost accounting and profitability.

· Train project manager personnel on financial expectations and use of project accounting function within their organization(s).

· Review and analyze profitability of projects.

· Collaborate with operations on profitability initiatives.

· Report operations accounting and finance information to the general finance and accounting team.

· Contribute to pricing products and services, as requested.

· Forecast capex needs of projects with operations.

· Oversee project-level forecasting efforts of operations.

· Serve as Unanet accounting software administrator.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification preferred.

· 3+ Years of operations accounting experience

Required Skills:

· Strong organizational and management skills.

· Proficiency in MS Excel.

· Ability to maintain adherence to financial reporting schedules.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

· Proficiency in Unanet.

· 1+ years Accounts Receivable Management.

· High proficiency in Data Analysis Tools.

· Familiarity with cost accounting methodologies.

· CPA or CMA certification.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

· Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.

· Ability to come into the office routinely, but not exclusively.
