Overview

Triumph Geared Solutions – Macomb is a world class manufacturer and supplier of complex gear assemblies, detail gears, and an array of components servicing the aerospace industry. We are deeply passionate about providing quality parts that exceed our customer expectations.

 

We manufacture gearbox assemblies, complete transmissions, detail gears and housings utilizing the latest manufacturing technologies and have fully integrated product testing and assembly capabilities.  In the military and commercial marketplace for both fixed wing and rotary aircraft, we ensure a broad range of products and product support with a single point of contact on some of the world’s best-known civilian and military aircraft platforms.

Job Summary

The Planner at Triumph Geared Solutions- Macomb is responsible for the overall schedule of their respective customers.  The Planner will maintain their customer schedules using the ERP system to ensure customer demand is lined up with internal supply.  The Planner will communicate with our internal expeditor to ensure parts are being scheduled to ensure product delivery on time to the customer.  The Planner will communicate with the Contracts department and Program Management to ensure customer schedules stay in line with our internal manufacturing capabilities.  The Planner will ensure daily/weekly shipments are created and maintained with our inspection and shipping department to meet customer deliveries.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage work orders to customer demand
  • Manage and prioritize source list
  • Review production schedules and communicate with expeditor MFG needs
  • Create daily/weekly ship schedules
  • Work with Master Scheduler to identify risks/opportunities
  • Ensure all MRB and Rework work orders are lined up with customer demand
  • Work with expeditor to create and maintain expedited plans
  • Manage Ship Schedule
  • Manage shortages for assembly builds
  • Review milestones and communicate with expeditor for production needs
  • Create Shipment list for all stock shipments
  • Review late starting work orders and work with purchasing to manage schedules
  • Review monthly forecast to identify risks / opportunities
  • Run planned order report for new requirements
  • Run exceptions report to ensure internal supply matches customer demands
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to promote the company vision, communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
  • Must be able to organize daily plans for a multitude of department personnel.
  • Must be well versed in the ability to create, manage and manipulate data electronically (i.e. spreadsheets).
  • Must work well with others in a team environment.
  • Proven track record in meeting performance goals.
  • Create a cohesive workforce that is goal oriented towards meeting company quality standards and performance.
  • Knowledge of different methods and processes utilized in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of customer base in aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
