Independently performs a variety of complex precision machining operations utilizing CNC or manual-controlled machine tools to produce components to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Setting up and operating a CNC and manually controlled machines such as lathes, milling machines, precision grinders, gun drills, etc. to make aerospace parts to sketch.
Using a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments that monitor and verify drawing/work order requirements are being met
Minimum Education Requirement:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
Two-year technical degree in a related field preferred.
Machine Operator 2
Three (3) years of experience running and setting up manually controlled machine tools; One (1) year of experience with multi-axis CNC machine tools.
Machine Operator 3
Seven (7) years of experience running and setting up manually controlled machine tools OR Five (5) years of experience with multi-axis CNC machine tools required.
