Responsibilities

Job Summary: Maintains and oversees accumulation of timecard input to payroll and reconciles output from corporate payroll functions, assists with Payables transactional entry as well as cross training in all AP functions. Assists with other misc. Balance Sheet reconciliations and entries.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Must be able to consistently demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of the payroll and accounts payable functions..
Accounts Payable Function (80% of job)
• Accounts Payable invoice data entry including 3-way match process, non-standard PO’s and non- PO invoices in an almost paperless environment.
• Able to maintain high volume data entry with expected zero error tolerance.
• Able to maintain the received not invoice report so the activity is current, so receipts do not age.
• Responsible for sharing the load with the full-time A/P analyst for the following processes: Vouchering, payment runs, the dmr’s, vendor change forms, RNI maintenance, email correspondence, etc.
• Must have a clear understanding of how to resolve A/P invoice processing issues.
• Assists in maintaining the organizations accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, including compliance with SOX procedures and maintain up-to-date internal control procedures.
• Pull and review audit data as needed for external or internal audits.
• Roll up their sleeve’s individual – teamwork, motivated to excel at job
• Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive, proactive outlook.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
• Other duties assigned to ensure customer (internal/external) needs are met.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
Payroll Function (20% of job)
• Accumulates timecard input to payroll and reconciles payroll financial transactions.
• Reconciles payroll applicable balance sheet accounts.
• Responsible for the monthly closing process and varied general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assists with numerous report outputs including corporate and site KPIs.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours as needed to ensure payroll deadlines are met

Qualifications

Physical Requirements: Work may require bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying up to 10 pounds; sitting seven (7) or more hours per day; and standing one (1) or more hours per day; the ability to hear, receive, and distribute information to all levels of staffing; the ability to handle interruptions; the ability to multi-task workloads; and, strong customer service orientation.

Education Requirements and Experience:
College level accounting either Bachelors or Associates.
Two to ten years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excel skills for data manipulation on worksheets
Organizational skills - to keep on customer needs and internal deadlines
