Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our West Hartford, CT team. This position will assume a functional supervisory role in product and process compliance to ensure safe and reliable products from Triumph and act as a key internal consultant to the leadership of the business on all Quality matters.
Responsibilities
Direct daily Quality staff functions such as receiving inspection, Quality Engineering, Material Review Board, inspection & testing to support production and provide Quality leadership / guidance on all process integrity concerns of the facility.
•Ensure adequate resources are in place for Quality compliance and cross training is performed to maximize the Quality staff.
•Interface with operations staff on Quality matters.
•This individual will take on a proactive leadership role that drives the development of robust processes that are used by the business to control all aspects that may affect Quality of the product or service being provided.
•Provides Quality leadership / guidance on relevant Quality Management System matters as well as product compliance
•Make decisions to protect product safety for products and services provided by their organizational unit.
•Balance good compliance practices with other business initiatives to avoid conflict and allow all objectives of the business to be satisfied
•A proactive leadership role that drives the development and effective implementation of robust processes that are used by their organizational unit to control all aspects that may affect Quality of the product or service being provided. Is also responsible for the continuous improvement of these processes.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and eight years related experience including three years of leadership experience.
•Strong operations background suitable to the Triumph production processes.
•Demonstrated problem solving skills, Root Cause Corrective Action.
•Continuous Improvement Event leadership expertise.
•Understanding of the standards, implementation and certification process of Quality Management Systems such as AS/EN9100, ISO-9001, and other industry-specific standard or regulation.
•Ability to effectively present information to top management.
•To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
