Responsibilities
- Leads creation of site EH&S targets and objectives in support of corporate, regional and business group EH&S strategic initiatives designed to drive EH&S culture, compliance, and results.
- Identifies action-based EH&S goals for site leadership team members, functional managers and front-line leaders to support achievement of the site’s EH&S targets and objectives.
- Completion of site and workstation-level risk assessments to identify and prioritize EH&S aspects and hazards.
- Manages databases and data related to EH&S incidents, consumption of natural resources such as water, and EH&S action plans. Leads site efforts to ensure that key EHS operational controls are in place and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
- Leads the deployment of EH&S element champions and teams and facilitates their engagement in ownership of the activities required to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Completes annual evaluation of compliance with Federal, State, local and company EH&S requirements.
- Development and maintenance of training processes to ensure that required EH&S training is defined, addresses required content and is tracked to completion.
- Ensures that all applicable federal, state, & local EHS regulations are met including air, land, and water to provide a safe, clean and healthy working environment for all employees. Maintains fiscally and socially responsible methods and processes of managing natural resources and wastes from the facility.
Interfaces with regulatory agencies and divisional personnel to direct environmental, safety, and health efforts at the facility, division, and corporate levels. Establishes and maintains
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental, occupational health or safety programs within a manufacturing environment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- This position is in Forest, Ohio and is an onsite position and working remotely is not an option.
- Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), applicants for SELECT positions will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for those select positions.
