Position Summary

Make a difference through supporting the delivery of mental health care for adolescents and young adults! In this role you will support Vita Health through conducting billing of behavioral health services. Vita Health is a mission driven organization and we work collaboratively. Responsibilities / Duties

• Complete verifications.
• Review/Submit claims.
• Pull Magellan auths and add approval into the pt chart.
• Track all grant/school/yst claims on spreadsheet. Adjust off quarterly(yst).
• Track all claims that are non-billable on a write off spreadsheet.
• Pull no show report to enter fees accordingly. (2 reports- 1 for each weekday and 1 for weekends).
• Watch the billing bucket to respond to all billing inquiries through the portal.
• Watch the billing bucket to process all virtual credit cards until the EFT process is complete. (All current insurances have been requested, can search ECHO in our email and billing email. I believe I labeled them all accordingly). Upload as BYOLB. Track all on sheet to confirm Athena posts. Often have to send tickets because they don’t post.
• Respond to all billing emails in the billing email.
• Correct all billing holds when submitting claims. (Credentialing related for new providers/payers.)
• Work all hold buckets.
• Answer calls from patients/payers.
• Call payers when required.

Minimum Education, Training, and/or Licensure

• Bachelors’ in Business, Health Administration, or closely related field.
• High school diploma and appropriate combination of education and experience (minimum of 5 years).
• Certifications in billing and coding (preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of national billing and coding best practice standards within the Behavioral Health field.

Background/ Experience / Skills & Abilities

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience working directly or indirectly with healthcare systems.
• Behavioral Health billing experience required.
• Experience working in Commercial, Medicare, and Self Pay systems.
• Expert knowledge of multi-state Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payor billing systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Diplomatically communicates with internal and external customers and employees.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and skilled at working independently and equally as well with a team.
• Experience working with Athena is a plus.

Compensation: $35,000 - $48,000 (based on experience)
